Oliveitup - promotion of premium European olive oil in India
Oliveitup, the promotional campaign launched by the Consortium of Guarantee of Quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVC) for the promotion of premium European olive oil in India has completed its first year.
The three year campaign is financed by the European Union, in collaboration with Italy.

Spanish producer of Mediterranean food products, Borges, has roped in Law & Kenneth to look after the creative duties of its entire product portfolio in India. The account will be handled from the agency's Delhi office. It has been learnt that the development is a result of a multi-agency pitch that was initiated last month. The size of the account is estimated arounf $2.7 million
India's import of olive oil in the 2010 calender year rose by almost 60% to about 4,187 tonne on the back of increase in consumption, according to an industry body.
India has signaled its interest to buy pulses, olive oil and fertilizer from Morocco, said a Reuters report citing India's food minister KV Thomas.
As the worldwide demand for olive olive increases, more and more companies enter to service the growing market that results from the shift of olive oil industry to the East of the Mediterranean.
